Vaccinating 100-200 people in every session per day, monitoring them for 30 minutes after administering the shots for any adverse event and permitting only one beneficiary at a time are among the guidelines published  by the Center  for the COVID-19 inoculation drive, PTI reported. As per  the guidelines issued to states recently, the COVID Vaccine Intelligence Network (Co-WIN) system will be used to track enlisted 



Advantageous for the vaccination and anti-coronavirus vaccines on a real-time basis. At the vaccination site, only pre-registered advantageous  will be vaccinated in accordance with the prioritisation, and there will be no provision for on-the-spot registrations. Out of the total cases, over 3.52 cases are active while over 93.88 lakh person have recovered after testing positive. With 336 new fatal  , the death toll now stands at 1,43,355. This is the lowest one day spike in deaths in around 6 months. Total number of deaths reported from the national capital crossed a10,000. Only Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have many.

Former Bihar Chief Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha chief Jitan Ram Manjhi tested positive for Covid-19, he declared on Monday. In a tweet, translated from Hindi, Manjhi said “Today my corona test report has come up positive. person who have come in contact with me in the last one week are appeal to get their corona test done.”

About 2.9 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine will be sent in the first shipment. Another 2.9 million is being held back for the second dose,to be provided 21 days later.

The news arrives as the United States approaches 300,000 deaths from COVID-19. Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said he would be among those obtaining a vaccine. "People will trust much more in the vaccine if the CEO is getting vaccinated," he told Monday on CNN.

No public new year celebration in the Shimla as night curfew to continue till Jan 5

There will be no public new year celebrations in the Shimla, Kullu, Kangra and Mandi as the Himachal Pradesh government Monday extended night curfew in the four districts till a January 5 to contain the spread of Covid-19.


The decision to extend the curfew was taken in a state cabinet meeting chaired by a Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said.


The curfew will be in place from a 9 pm to 6 am in Shimla, Mandi, Kangra and Kullu districts, Bhardwaj said. Earlier, the state government had determined to impose night curfew from November 23 to December 15.


The Cabinet even granted ex post facto permission for three makeshift Covid hospitals, which will be coming up at the Shimla, Nalagarh, Tanda and Nerchowk. The hospitals are being built at a expense  of over Rs 13 crore and half the payment has been created in advance to CBRI Roorkee, the contractor, a government statement said.


The Cabinet even agreed to shift the office of Deputy Inspector General (Intelligence and Security) from the Shimla to Dharamshala. It offered its consent to make a Pain and Palliative Care Cell under Radiotherapy Department in IGMC Hospital.


It even gave nod to the Himachal Pradesh Aero Sports Rules, 2020 to assure safety measures during paragliding activities in the state.


The Cabinet even decided that condemned vehicles of various departments will be transferred to the technical education department so that they can be utilized in the Industrial Training Institutes.


It offered its approval to the recommendations of a subcommittee for exclusion of a few areas from the purview of HP Town and nation  Planning Act, 1977. Palda, Rajour and Chaled in Bharmour Special Area; Bani, Barod, Malga and Sudharag in Waknaghat Planning Area; and Aarda and Manyana revenue mohal of Mandi Planning Area have been debared from the Act.
