Amid COVID-19 lockdown, the Government of India has announced Rs 20 lakh crore relief package under 'Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan' to make a self-reliant nation.  For all establishments, EPF relief with Rs 2,500 crore liquidity support.

Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) was launched by the Government of India in 2016.  Income taxpayers are given an opportunity to forgo prosecution by declaring their illegal money and paying 50% penalty on their unaccounted incomes.

In this way, we can understand that Government came out with the scheme so that black money can be declared to the government at 50% tax rate that is 30% tax, 10% penalty and 33% Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan cess on tax. For four years 25% of the income will be locked under the scheme and will be given back without interest on it.

 

As per recent corona relief, ‘Garib Kalyan Package’ announced by the FM Nirmala Sitharaman:


 - Provision to open the bank branches.

- For Building and Construction workers: Central government has given orders to the state government for building and construction workers to use funds of ₹31,000 crores to provide relief to them.

- PMGKY will include the transfers of cash to the poor and migrants.

- Under the PMGKY (food scheme) around 80 crore people will be benefited. Additionally, everyone will get 5 kg of wheat/rice for free of whatever they are already getting. The government will also provide 1 kg of a pulse of their choice to each household for the next three months. In fact, people can take it in two instalments.

- Medical insurance cover of ₹50 lakh per healthcare worker.

- Through the PM-KISAN scheme, farmers are receiving ₹6000 every year. The government now will give first instalment upfront. It is estimated that about 8.69 crore farmers are expected to benefit from this immediately.

Is Narmada the only answer for Gujarat's parched lips? At least that is what it appears from the way the state governments, past and present have tried to divert the waters of this river to the state. And most people of the state believe this is the only answer.

But not all. Drive down just 20 kilometres on the Rajkot-Jamnagar highway to the little village of Raj-Samadhiyala in this chronically drought affected state and you will discover another side of the availability of water in the state.

While driving through unrelieved miles of thirsty land and desperate looking people, you may be forgiven for thinking that you've suddenly been rewarded with an oasis. At the height of summer, there about 50,000 trees, the fields have standing crops and what is perhaps most amazing, there is water in the taps!

So why does this village have the magic wand? There is no overflowing water source, or no kinder than usual guardian deity. In fact just about two decades ago, villagers from nearby villages refused to marry their daughters here and it was part of the desert development programme.

Today the difference Raj-Samadhiyala has with neighbouring villages like Amiala or Dhandiya is telling. And the single factor making the difference is water. Combined with Hardevsingh Jadeja.

Jadeja who? Jadeja, the iron willed sarpanch of Raj-Samadhiyala, a village of about 280 households that is being held up as an example by governments and activists alike across the world. A local from the Thakur community, he became the sarpanch in 1978 and since then has worked tirelessly to transform the village.

A village without a stream, Jadeja first decided to make it possible to store the 20 odd inches of monsoon rainfall that the village got. This obviously was easier said than done. A graduate from Saurashtra University, Jadeja explains in his broken English that that was a struggle that involved long years of research and seeking help.

After approaching various agencies, he finally got the drainage pattern of rainfall mapped by a visiting ISRO hydrologist, who prepared a satellite map of the village. The issue then was to stop the run-off from flowing away. This would be possible, he finally realized, only by the construction of numerous small of check dams. He approached the state government with his plans and persuaded them to lend a fraction of the funds needed to make these dams, which finally came from District Rural Development Agency (DRDA). The labour came from the villagers, who were initially unconvinced about the potential of small dams in a land where big dams are the temples of hope.

And in the last few years, these check dams have kept growing in number. And it is what this is made possible is where marc-level planners need to take note. As opposed to the one monsoon crop they managed grow earlier, the village now can grow crops three times a year. And this even in years with four inches of rainfall. The annual vegetable sale has gone up to about 25 lakh a year. And it is the range of crops that leaves one stunned - wheat, cauliflower, chilies, tomato, coriander, brinjal, potato, radish, carrot, guava, chikoo, mango, amla, sugarapple, even water intensive groundnut.

The check dams have ensured that the rainwater percolates underground, which has seen the groundwater levels rise gradually over the years. So every village house has access to piped water, certainly a rarity in rural India.

And these riches have transformed the life in the village. Since Jadeja has taken over, he has enforced a strict 'code of law', which includes numerous civic and social codes. For example, there is no litter in the village streets, as anyone caught littering has to pay a hefty fine! A remarkable law that most of India could do well to emulate, this is not the only thing step Jadeja has taken.

The village has already received the state award for its achievements in family planning. In the 1990s, it actually managed to bring down its population by 200, and this when migration was no longer an attractive option for villagers.

Just the mere collection of rainwater and tapping it properly has given it the necessary springboard for overall development - a model that other villages affected by water scarcity would do well to emulate, if only to ensure their own survival.

Gandhinagar: The Common Academic Calendar has been declared by the Education Department. Calendar has been declared for the department except Medical and Pharmacy. As per , Diwali vacation will be from November 6 to November 18. Thus will be the 13-day Diwali vacation. The new educational  year will have to start by July 1, 2021

Dates have been declared for completion of UG, PG, GTU and Professional courses. As per to which the course has to be completed in phases from 1st December 2020 to 1st August. It is evenn suggested to take online offline classes if needed and take exams in the same manner.

 Experimental works can be begun  after October 15, but only 15 to 20 students can come. Internal assessment is necessary for students but internal examination will not be needed . In the structure of semester system, the ratio of internal and varsity examination marks is kept at 30:70. The varsity which has taken the internal examination will have to evaluate accordingly.

Students and departments must adhere to the COVID -19 guideline. The COVID-19 guideline will even have to be complied with in respect of the subjects in which the rules of the Council Board are applicable.

Army public school recruitment for pgt tgt and other posts 2020

: Army Public School Recruitment for PGT, TGT And PRT Posts @aps-csb.in :-

 Army Public School has conducted recruitment for teachers. The Army Welfare Education Society has called for applications for vacancies of teachers for 2000 posts by October 20. Candidates will be screened online. Candidates for the screening test can register by visiting the official website http://aps-csb.in. Must have at least 50% marks in B.Ed / two year diploma and graduation. Candidates applying for TGT post should have at least 50% in B.Ed and Graduation.

: Date for online registration::

      The last date for online registration is October 20, until 5 p.m. Admission card download date - 04 November, online exam date - 21 and 22 November 2020, result - 02 December 2020. It is not mandatory for the candidate to pass CTET / TET to appear in the online screening test for this recruitment.

Age up to 40 years and retirement will be counted at 57 years. For selection from 2000 posts under this recruitment, candidates will have to go through a three stage process and these stages will be… screening test, interview and assessment of teaching skills. Selection will be made on this basis.

How to Apply for Army public school Teacher recruitment

       Candidates are expected to register ON-LINE for the screening exam by logging onto the

Registration Portal http://aps-csb.in . The registration portal will be open from 01 Oct 2020 to 20 Oct 2020. Candidates can register from 10 AM on 01 Oct 2020 to 5 PM on 20 Oct 2020. Thereafter the portal will be closed for registration. The procedure to be followed will be as under:-

(a) Fill up the personal information or the application form.

    (b) The system will then ask the candidates to pay the exam fee ON-LINE. Payment options are

    Debit/Credit Cards/ Net banking. A payment gateway has been integrated with the web-site for the

    purpose and candidates will be guided through the payment process.

    (c) After payment of fee, the candidates will be asked by the system to attached following documents :-

    (i) Photographs and signatures

    (ii) Proof of date of birth

    (iii) Certificates of academic qualifications.

    (d) Once registration is completed, the candidates will get a confirmation that registration is successful.

    Candidates will also be informed through e-mail and SMS regarding the same.

    (e) A `Help Line’ will be available to the candidates to seek any assistance, till the conduct of the

    exam. The helpline tab will be available on the portal http://aps-csb.in

    (f) Candidates would be able to take mock-tests ON-LINE to familiarize them with the exam procedure.
